PDFThis turns a photo of a document into a PDF. Your files are never stored on our servers. Each upload is held in memory just long enough to produce your PDF, sent back to your browser as the response, and then discarded when the request finishes — typically within a few seconds. We don't look at your documents, train on them, share them, or keep them.
When you click Convert, your photo is uploaded to a stateless cloud function that runs OpenCV to detect the page, deskew it, and clean it up. The function holds the bytes in RAM, builds the PDF, returns the PDF, and then the container's memory for that request is released. There is no disk write, no database insert, no log of the file contents, and no copy made anywhere. The architecture is the privacy guarantee — we couldn't retain your file if we wanted to without changing how the service works.
Files you upload. Used only to produce the PDF you asked for, then discarded. Files are not written to disk, not logged, not retained, not used for training. See "How processing works" above for the technical details.
Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and tool conversions in aggregate. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers.
Advertising. If ads are shown on the site, they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and identifiers to serve relevant ads and measure performance. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google's ad settings.
PDFThis itself sets no cookies. Third parties (Google AdSense, if ads are enabled) may set cookies for ad delivery and frequency capping. EU/UK visitors will see a consent prompt before any non-essential cookies are set.
PDFThis is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Because we don't retain your files or build profiles about you, there's typically nothing for us to delete on request. For questions about ad personalization, use Google's ad settings linked above. For anything else, email support@pdfth.is.
If we change how PDFThis handles data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
